How to report anti-social behaviour?

Non-Emergencies: You should report most antisocial problems by phone Barking and Dagenham Police on 0208 984 1212 (ask for the control room). Your call will be logged and the police will respond appropriately. The front offices at Dagenham Police station are open 24 hours a day. You can also contact Alibon Safer Neighbourhood team although this team do not work 24 hours a day.
Reporting to antisocial behaviour to the council: Antisocial behaviour can be reported to the council by phoning 0208 215 3010. This number covers all sorts of antisocial behaviour including noise problems, street wardens, and the antisocial behaviour team.
Collecting Evidence
Action against perpetrators of antisocial behaviour will be more successful if you have proof or evidence to support your case.
- Keep a dairy of events with times and dates, there is a sample diary sheet on this website which will help you with this. You will need to record what the nuisance was, the time and date it happened and who was responsible.
- The incident diary is your record of what you see and hear, you can’t write down what other people have told you.
- If you call the police or any other agencies about an issue, keep a record of these contacts. The police may use details such as the number of call outs made to an address as supporting evidence.
